About

Peckham Heat is a celebration of the cultures, flavours, and people that have inspired me throughout my life.
Peckham has been home for more than half of my life. It’s where my passion for cooking, seasoning, and bold flavour truly developed. I’ve always loved experimenting in the kitchen, creating seasonings and flavour combinations for meats, fish, and vegetables. At the heart of that inspiration is Rye Lane, a place where African, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, Asian, and European food cultures meet. From the tropical fruit and vegetable stalls to the spices and ingredients from around the world, Rye Lane has shaped the way I cook and the flavours I create.

My own story is a blend of cultures. With a French mother, an English father, and family connections to Pakistan and Guadeloupe, I grew up surrounded by different traditions, ingredients, and ways of cooking. Those influences, combined with the vibrant food culture of Peckham, continue to inspire everything I make.
Another important part of my story is beekeeping. My family have kept bees for generations, teaching me the value of patience, craftsmanship, and respect for quality ingredients. That heritage inspired Honey Queen, our pure honey, and later the creation of our Scotch Bonnet Hot Honey, combining natural honey with the distinctive fruitiness and heat of Scotch bonnet chillies, a staple ingredient in African and Caribbean cooking and a flavour that has long been part of life on Rye Lane.

Every Peckham Heat product has its roots in Rye Lane. From Honey Queen and our Scotch Bonnet Hot Honey to our 18 Flavour Spice Rub, Scotch Bonnet Chilli Flakes, and Scotch Bonnet Lime Fleur de Sel Salt, each product is inspired by the flavours, ingredients, and cultures that make Peckham one of the most exciting food communities in London.

Peckham Heat is more than a brand. It’s a celebration of heritage, community, and flavour, inspired by Rye Lane, rooted in Peckham, and made for people who believe food should be bold, vibrant, and full of character.
